7 July 2022 CALICUT – After the successful show DFL (Dream Fashion League) Season 1, fashion event organizer Tendenza will hold yet another designer fashion show – KFW (Kerala Fashion World) at Calicut on August 28.
KFW successfully partnered with World Vision HD, Kerala Vision, and Metro Malayalam to telecast the show in India and overseas. This partnership will present KFW as a TV channel telecasted fashion show in Kerala second to only DFL.
A rare opportunity for rising fashion designers
KFW will offer freelance fashion designers, a first-of-its-kind platform to showcase their newest collections all over the world. The show organizers assert this as a clear goal for organizing the event.
Giving freelance designers a slot to participate in the event and display their collections, thereby opening up new opportunities and improving their chances of getting hired into advertisement, film, and television projects.
“It’s hard for fashion designers working freelance to connect with events and participate in them,” says Vishnu Valsan chief choreographer and show director of KFW. “The high price tag of securing a slot in such events discourages most freelance designers, thus missing out on opportunities. KFW is a different approach. We are giving these promising talents a platform to showcase what they’ve got at an affordable rate plus other benefits like choreography lessons, makeup, mementos, and certificates to all participants.”
Besides, KFW is also open for boutiques and fashion institutes to take part and present their portfolio to a wider audience.
How KFW designer fashion show helps models?
With the show, Tendenza aims to bring up emerging talents in fashion modelling by giving them a platform to exhibit their portfolios and groom them to enter into professional modeling. Besides the event, training and grooming sessions will also be organized to coach the models in ramp walk, modelling poses, and fashion choreography.
The models are presented with a rare opportunity to explore current fashion trends, connect with industry professionals, and access opportunities.
Vishnu Valsan said

Meet the team: KFW designer show in Calicut
Heading the show are a team of seasoned professionals and top talents in the field. Shimmy M is taking the role of show administrator. Juvin Paul is the chief coordinator. Tennis Joseph and Safeena Khan are the other main coordinators of the event. Fashion model Sajna Saaj will be the assistant choreographer.
The event organizers have opened registration for participants. Attendees can also take part in the event and find networking opportunities.
