27 July 2022, KOCHI – The season of glitz and glamour is upon us as Kochi will be home to the biggest fashion extravaganza. 

Leading modeling and talent agency Glitz & Glitterati is all set to host a three-day fashion event and expo called ‘G & G Fashion Week’ in Kochi, Kerala from October 1st to 3rd. This will be the first of its kind event in the city and will be held at Durbar Hall in Kochi. 

In addition to the regular fashion show, the event is expected to break three world records with a bridal makeup competition and a huge display of handworked costumes on the ramp.

There will be a range of events over the three days, including a fashion show and an expo of designer clothes and accessories. The aim of the event is to promote Kerala’s booming fashion and modeling industry, introduce new trends, fuse traditional and western clothing and bring together creative professionals in the industry under one roof. 

The organisers are confident that the show will be a grand success and provide an excellent platform for Indian designers to showcase their talent on the global stage.

A Promising Opportunity for New Age Fashion Designers of Kerala

G & G Fashion Week will offer a sole platform for fashion designers from all over the region to showcase their best and latest collections. New and seasoned models will get an ideal platform to demonstrate their abilities on the ramp and gain wider exposure. 

A fashion expo is also organised together with the event where designers can put up stalls to display their collections for sale. Invitees can participate in the expo to get familiar and interact with leading clothing brands.

Besides, G & G Fashion Week Kochi will also offer slots for fashion technology students from various institutions across the country to showcase their collections, brand themselves and their institutes, and explore the newest trends ruling the industry.

Eyeing for World Records – G & G Fashion Week Set to Redefine Fashion

The key highlights of the event include a bridal makeup competition and a display of handworked costumes which are aimed at setting world records. 

On the first day, a bridal makeup competition is organised where more than 300 makeup artists will work in just 50 minutes to turn 300 models into beautiful bridal outfits. A ramp walk of these models turned brides is set to break the record for the largest gathering of bridal models on the ramp. 

Besides on the second day, the event organisers are aiming to bag yet another world record by showcasing 1000 handworked costumes on the ramp.

The Team Behind G & G Fashion Week Kochi 

G & G Fashion Week Kochi is headed by a team of seasoned professionals in the fashion and modeling field. Glitz & Glitterati founder & CEO Sarath Chandran is the show director and chief contact person. Serving as the creative director of the show is Unni Nalanchira, a renowned professional modeling photographer. 

Actor, producer, and entrepreneur Naveen Illath is the creative head. Vijesh Thekkinkoottathil, an experienced show manager with a strong portfolio of managing successful fashion shows in India and overseas will be the show manager of the event. Rashid Mohammed is the show coordinator.

Besides, Kochi Fashion Week will also host leading celebrity designers. Naveen Forever is the official celebrity fashion designer of the show. Other top celebrity designers like Syamsundar Basu, Harold Andrade, and Shebin will also be taking part and presenting their collections.

Expo: Designers can offer sales and branding of their products in a 10 x 10 cubicle throughout the course of the event. 

The fashion stalls can remain open from 10 AM to 10 PM.
