Akhila – Newborn Shoot for Twin Babies in Karukachal
Akhila wanted to preserve the early memories of her twin girls, Janaki and Janani. Photowant covered this shoot with Candid Novia for this newborn shoot, designed with soft pink themes. On 29 May 2025, our team visited her home in Karukachal to capture these precious moments.
The session was planned with care and warmth. We arrived by 4:30 PM after covering a baptism shoot earlier that day. The cozy home space helped us set up smoothly for the session.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The shoot focused on a soft pink and pastel-themed concept. White fur, pink and magenta wraps, and gentle light setups created a calm setting. The goal was to highlight tenderness and symmetry in every frame.
Photography and Editing
We used

Though the twins were two months old, we managed to capture some peaceful moments. Their natural movements made every frame more genuine.
Final Outcome
Despite the challenges, we delivered a collection filled with emotion and softness. Each image reflected the bond between the babies and the love surrounding them.
Travel and Preparation
Our crew traveled by car, carrying essential lights, fabrics, and props. Raunak Shankar led the photography with support from Fayas, Sachin, and Sreelakshmi. Each detail was arranged to make the babies comfortable.
Experience and Highlights
The babies were more active than we expected, being over two months old. After a few shots, they began to cry, limiting our time. Still, we captured sweet moments that felt true to their age and energy.
Conclusion
This session reminded us of the importance of early newborn photography. For best results, shoots are ideal between 5 and 30 days of birth. That’s when babies are most flexible, sleepy, and easy to pose—making the experience better for both family and crew.
