Our Commitment

What We Stand For

The Photowant blog exists to be the most credible and useful source of content for businesses, marketers, creators, and professionals operating in the visual and digital space in Kerala and beyond. Every article we publish is held to a single standard: would a practitioner find this genuinely useful?

We are a creative agency, not a content farm. This means we apply the same standards to our editorial work that we apply to our creative work — rigorous, honest, and always in the interest of the reader.

Every article published on photowant.com is either written by a Photowant team member or by a vetted external contributor, and every piece of content — regardless of source — is reviewed and approved by an expert editor at Photowant before it goes live.

Our core editorial principle: We publish what is true, useful, and verifiable — not what is popular, promotional, or paid for. No advertiser, brand, or third party has ever influenced or will ever influence what we publish or how we cover a topic.

This editorial policy applies to all content published under the Photowant blog, including articles written by Photowant employees, guest contributors, and external experts. It is reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices.

Editorial Standards

How We Maintain Quality

01
Accuracy Above Everything
All factual claims must be verifiable through authoritative sources. Statistics, data points, and research findings must be cited with their original source. We do not publish speculation as fact. If a claim cannot be verified, it is either removed or clearly labelled as opinion.
02
Expertise-Led Content
Articles must be written by individuals with genuine expertise in the subject matter. We verify contributor credentials before accepting articles. If a digital marketer writes about SEO, they must demonstrate real-world experience — not just theoretical knowledge.
03
Original Writing Only
Every article published on the Photowant blog must be original and not published anywhere else. We check all submissions for plagiarism and AI-generated content that is not properly supervised and edited by the named author. Recycled, spun, or paraphrased content from other sources is rejected without exception.
04
Editorial Independence
No third party — including advertisers, brand partners, clients, or tools we use — has any influence over the editorial content of this blog. We do not accept paid articles, sponsored posts disguised as editorial content, or content that exists primarily to promote a product or service. All commercial relationships are disclosed separately.
05
Expert Review Before Publishing
Every article — whether written by a Photowant team member or an external contributor — is reviewed by a qualified editor at Photowant before it is published. The reviewing editor is named on the article. Articles that do not meet our quality standards are returned with feedback or rejected.
06
Transparency About Authorship
Every article clearly shows who wrote it and who verified it. Authors have published profiles. If an article is updated after publication, the update date and the nature of the changes are noted at the bottom of the article.
How It Works

Content Verification
Process

01
Contributor
Article Written & Submitted
The contributor writes the article following Photowant's editorial guidelines. The article is submitted for review via our platform — it is not published at this stage. Contributors cannot publish content directly.
02
Photowant Editor
Expert Editorial Review
A Photowant expert editor reviews the article for accuracy, depth, originality, and adherence to our editorial standards. If a digital marketer writes about performance marketing, an editor with hands-on performance marketing experience reviews it. This is not a copyediting pass — it is a subject matter review.
03
Editor
Feedback or Approval
The editor either approves the article, returns it with specific feedback for revision, or rejects it with a reason. Most articles require at least one round of revisions. Feedback is specific and constructive — not a generic rejection.
04
Photowant Admin
Published with Full Attribution
Once approved, the article is published with two clearly attributed credits: Written by [Contributor Name] and Verified by [Editor Name]. Both are linked to their author profiles on photowant.com. No article is published without both attributions being set.
✓ Every article is verified before publishing ✓ Both author and verifier are named ✓ No anonymous content

📧
How to Submit a Pitch
Email your topic suggestion to info@photowant.com with the subject line Pitch: [Your Proposed Title]. Include a 3–5 sentence summary of what the article will cover and why you are qualified to write it.
💼
Include Your LinkedIn Profile
Every pitch must include a link to your active LinkedIn profile. This is how we verify your identity and professional background. Pitches submitted without a LinkedIn profile link will not be reviewed. We use LinkedIn to confirm that your experience is relevant to the topic you want to write about.
✍️
What a Strong Pitch Looks Like
A strong pitch tells us: what specific insight or actionable advice the article delivers, who the target reader is, why this topic is relevant right now, and what experience you have that makes you the right person to write it. We respond to every pitch within 5–7 working days.
📏
Content Requirements
Accepted articles must be a minimum of 1,200 words. They must be original, not published elsewhere, and not contain affiliate links or promotional content for specific products or services. All factual claims must be supported by sources you can link to. Articles should be practical and actionable — not generic overviews.

We do not accept paid articles. Photowant does not publish sponsored posts, paid placements, or any content where the author or a third party has paid for inclusion. If you are looking to promote a product, service, or brand through content placement, we are not the right platform. Our editorial coverage is never for sale. Articles are accepted or rejected based solely on their editorial merit.
