Dreamzone, a leading institution offering fashion & modeling courses, recently hosted a fashion designer show – DFL SEASON 1 on June 5 at the Dass Continental Hotel in Thrissur. 

DFL SEASON 1 was conducted with the idea of nurturing the growing fashion sector and promoting the newest trends. The highly successful show was attended by about 20 fashion and modeling companies from across Kerala where they showcased their best modeling talents, designer clothing, and more.

Winners of DFL Season 1: Thrissur

Merakiz took the lead and secured first place in the show. The first and second runner-up positions went to the modeling agencies – Trivandrum Fashion Models and Headline respectively.

Rithu Sarangi from Trivandrum Fashion Models has crowned the Best Female Model whereas the Best Male Model title went to Sarath Krishna from WYNK Modeling. 

The show also recognized talents in other categories as well. Moncy Johnson (Trivandrum Fashion Models) was chosen as the Best Choreographer and Rupesh Giri (Merakiz) as the Best Costume Designer.

A panel of eminent luminaries

Antara Bhattacharya, Anshad Ash, and Smitha Xavier acted as the jury and passed sound judgments on the performance of more than 350 contestants that took part in the show.

Film director Tom Emmatty was the chief guest of the show along with Bigg Boss Season 4 fame Shalini Nair, film and TV actors – Krithika Pradeep, Dr. Chaithra Praveen, Hanuma, Rachana Vaishakh, Sreeshma, Amrutha Ganesh, Jeeva Nambiar. Shiju Varghese, the branch director of Dreamzone at Kuruppam Road in Thrissur, Vishnu Valsan – the show director and choreographer, P Anil – a writer and media worker, Sony – the program director at Kerala Vision, Ranjith Menon – Chief editor of World Vision, Padmakumar R – branding and digital partner, Juvin Paul – managing director Space Soft Technologies and coordinator, Coffee Bean – media partner, M D Vaishakh Gift Hamper, Sreejith Mohanan – managing director of Pure Ayurveda, Nimisha Sandeep – CEO, MEFAB were also present at the event.

The Fashion Show in Thrissur turned out to be a huge success and earned praise for opening a vista of opportunities for promising models. Owing to the large turnout of the event, it is very likely that the organizers will return with yet another season of the show soon.
